| The parachute is an 15 cell Ram Air canopy. It is 367 sq. ft.
and made of rip stop nylon. The parachute is designed to be stall
and spin resistant. The engine is a Rotax 503 two stroke. It
puts out 52hp. and is used with a 3 or 4 blade propeller. The
fuel capacity is 7.5 Gallons which can give up to two hours flight
time.
Usually between three-five hours a novice can be flying solo.
The aerochute brings the experience of flight to anyone who has
ever wanted to fly. When people see the Aerochute fly they can
relate to its simplicity and safety and realize that even they
could fly this machine. Pilots flying conventional US made powered
parachutes are attracted to the simplicity, compactness, manueverability
and speed of the Aerochute.

It is used by people for leisure flying, sport enthusiasts, adventurers
and by farmers as an aerial motorbike to check properties and
help muster stock.
Aerochute Industries is a Melbourne based company which has designed
and manufactures the Aerochute Dual. In May 1992 Aerochute Inds.
received full Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) approval
to manufacture and sell the aircraft, also to teach people to
pilot standard. Since then it has received approvals in New Zealand,
Japan, South Korea and Indonesia and has distributors in these
counties.
This may be the first certified powered parachute design in the
world of powered parachutes. This will become important as Sport
Pilot rules effect.
