The Barnstormer 400 was originally designed for single seat powered parachutes with
low power availability. The design proved to be a success with
more than low power machines. It has been used on 64hp single
seat machines and out performs everything else in speed and maneuverability
It uses mylar stiffeners in the ribs and has only 11 cells for
quick inflation. Because powered parachutists demand more performance,
it was designed to turn easier and quicker.
This canopy is best used on single seat machines. Works well with
low to high power platforms. With its quick inflation and centering
characteristics, it is also ideal as a training chute for low
to medium power machines. It can be used to increase flying time
because it is a chute that behaves well in the wind and is easy
to manage after landing.
